Shakes: We are not going to sit back

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba revealed that his team will come out guns blazing in their crucial 2018 FIFA World Cup first-leg qualifier against Angola on Friday.

Bafana will square off against the Angolans at the Estadio Nacional de Ombaka for a spot in the next round of qualifiers.

After doing thorough homework on their opponents, Mashaba is confident that Bafana can do the job away from home.

"We saw them when we played, we know what to expect from them. We went back to the DVD when we played them in Cape Town, which makes things easy for us. It's not going to be easy games, both legs will be tough," Mashaba told KickOff.

"We are not going to sit back. If you look at the most important modern trends of playing football, they are talking about the last third of the field, that is attacking.

"Finishing is a little bit of a worry. We still want to get the ball in the back of the net but we are addressing that in the camp."

The return leg will be at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday, November 17 where the winner will advance to the group stage qualifiers with 19 other teams.
