Set for Bafana exit? Stuart Baxter factfile

Cape Town - A Beleaguered Stuart Baxter is reportedly on the verge of calling time on his reign as Bafana Bafana head coach. Here Sport24 looks at his international record.

A report by TimesLive, says that Baxter has called a press conference on Friday away from the SAFA headquarters as he is expected to resign as Bafana Bafana head coach.

A fiery Baxter has on numerous occasions throughout his tenure hit out at the public and media for their lack of football knowledge with any difference of opinion being met with the common "you don't know football".

The 65-year-old has been criticised by the public for favouritism in his selections with players from former clubs Baxter has been employed at - Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United - chosen over in-form players.

In his most recent press conference after guiding Bafana to the AFCON 2019 quarter-finals, a fiery Baxter almost dared the SAFA top-brass to fire him.

"I have no problem leaving this job‚ don't confuse me with a coach who is desperate for a job," he said. "I am not a desperate coach who says‚ please don't sack me‚ please."

Here Sport24 takes a look at Baxter's record as Bafana head coach compared to his most recent club record at SuperSport United.
