SAFA calls 'urgent' press conference

Cape Town - The South African Football Association (SAFA) has called for an urgent press conference to be held in Johannesburg on Thursday afternoon.

The association revealed that various issues will be discussed following the postponement of the Elective congress which was set to go ahead last weekend (Saturday, March 24).

On Monday, March 19 SAFA released a statement confirming that the elections will go ahead as planned before announcing the postponing the presidential elections a day later.

Other issues likely to be addressed is SAFA president Danny Jordaan's rape allegation with many calling for the South African soccer boss to step down.

The press conference will start at 13:00 on Thursday, March 29.
