Pitso has a message for Bafana

Cape Town - Pitso Mosimane has left a message for Bafana Bafana and head coach Stuart Baxter ahead of their crucial 2018 Soccer World Cup qualifier against Bukina Faso.

South Africa will face the West African nation on Saturday afternoon at FNB Stadium.

Kick off is at 15:00.

"In football anything is possible and I have seen things happen, especially when the chips are down," the Mamelodi Sundowns head coach is quoted from the official website.

"We are an amazing football nation and we have done amazing stuff in football. We have a very good team to take us beyond World Cup qualifiers. We need to use this program seriously to build for CAF Cup of Nations qualifiers.

"We should not be short sighted and have short term visions like we always do. We have to give our best on this program but also not dismantle everything in case we don’t qualify."

Mosimane added: "Patience, lack of fear and belief is what we need. We must give our best at times irrespective of the results and when you do that consistently, something will give in.

"That is the mentality we have at Mamelodi Sundowns in Champions League hence we have gone that far. We couldn’t defend the cup, but domestically we consistently have to qualify for Champions League.

"I want to wish Stuart and our boys all the best luck."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
