Mokoena questions Mashaba's selections

Cape Town – Former Bafana Bafana captain Aaron Mokoena believes that Kermit Erasmus and Keagan Dolly should be in Shakes Mashaba’s squad.

According to Goal website, Mokoena says that both players deserve to be in the squad vying for a place to take on Angola.

“These are the two inform players in the country for me and personally I think they deserve to be part of the team,” said most capped Bafana Bafana player.

“Dolly is a promising youngster doing very well at club level, while Erasmus is an experienced striker who has been doing well domestically and in the continental assignments for Pirates.

“The fact that he has been dominated for the local based Africa Player of the Year, speaks volumes about his talents, but despite all this, we need to stand by the coach because he needs the support of the country."

Bafana Bafana take on Angola in two World Cup qualifying encounters in a space of four days.

The first clash will be the away leg, to be played on Friday at the Ombaka National Stadium in Benguela, Angola. Kick-off is at 15:30 (16:30 SA time).

Bafana Bafana will then host Angola four days later (Tuesday, November 17) in Durban at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Kick-off is at 19:00.
