Cape Town - SuperSport United winger Aubrey Modiba believes that Bafana Bafana must play for the win in Sunday's Group E Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya in Tunisia.
Bafana go into the contest requiring just a point to advance to the AFCON tournament in Egypt later this year, however, Modiba takes the view that paying for a point is a dangerous game.
The Mediterranean Knights have to collect all three points to qualify for the competition which would then come at South Africa's expense.
Currently, Nigeria are already through as group winners where Seychelles have been the whipping boys in the tournament and are rock-bottom.
The talented 23-year-old forward told reporters: "It's a big game for us, for the country. We need just one point, but we can't go there with that mentality.
"We need to win the game, score goals and defend well as a team because I think it will give us confidence going forward, knowing that we can score goals and defend well."
"It's going to be a tough one, especially playing away from home. We need to work hard for one another."
The encounter is set to take place at the Stade Taieb Mhiri in Sfax. The game is being played at a neutral venue due to instability in Libya.
Kick-off is at 19:00.
