Johannesburg - Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba has blasted Pitso Mosimane for taking to the media to request that Mamelodi Sundowns players not be selected for the national team.
Mosimane wanted his players to be excluded from Bafana to allow them to concentrate on their CAF Champions League campaign.
Despite his request, Mashaba selected Tebogo Langerman, Thapelo Morena, Keagan Dolly, Hlompho Kekana and Sibusiso Vilakazi from Sundowns.
Bafana will face Mauritania in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Friday, which will be followed by a friendly with Egypt on September 6.
Sundowns will take on Zambian giants Zesco United in the CAF Champions League semi-final first-leg on September 17.
"Unfortunately, nothing has come to us. We are open. We are operating on an open door policy," Mashaba told KickOff.
"If there is anyone who wants to talk to us, they can come to us and say it. But that is what has happened, and I am disappointed because we operate on an open door policy.
"Anyone who has got something to talk to us about, we are always available. If they want to request something, let them send it and then we will sit down and deal with it."
