Furman: Bafana Bafana have to get the job done

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana midfielder Dean Furman believes that the national team have to get the right result against Libya in Sunday's Group E AFCON qualifier in Tunisia.

Bafana require just a point to advance to the tournament in Egypt whereas the Mediterranean Knights need to take the victory at the Stade Taieb Mhiri in Sfax.

South Africa are undefeated in the group with Nigeria having already qualified as winners of the bracket.

As such, the encounter against the Libyans is a do-or-die affair though Furman is hopeful that Bafana can approach the game with confidence.

He told reporters: "As players these are the games you want to play. There's a huge prize at the end of it [qualifying for AFCON].

"It's great to be here, we are pushing and we all know what the prize is. We are so focused on being at the AFCON this time round, so we've got to get the job done.

"I was at the game against Nigeria and the boys did very well. What we've got to remember is that we are undefeated in this group and obviously if it remains that way then we qualify.

"So we've got to take that as a huge positive. We've taken on one of the best teams in Africa. We beat them away and we put in a good performance, so we can come into this camp with a lot of confidence."

Sunday's action gets underway from 19:00.
