Burkina Faso win sees Bafana rise in FIFA rankings

Stuart Baxter's charges jumped from 80th to 74th position after their 3-1 victory in their 2018 Soccer World Cup qualifier at the FNB Stadium.

Goals from Percy Tau, Themba Zwane and Sibusiso Vilakazi were enough to ensure South Africa have a fighting chance against Senegal next month in order to secure a spot in next year's tournament.

South Africa welcome the west African giants to the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday, November 10.
