Baxter keeps promise, starts PSL tour at Chilli Boys

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana head coach Stuart Baxter is making good on his promise to build stronger relationships with Absa Premiership clubs and recently paid Chippa United a visit.

The former Kaizer Chiefs coach on Sunday watched the Chilli Boys' 1-1 stalemate against Ajax Cape Town at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, before joining head coach Vladislav Heric and the technical team for dinner, followed by another meeting on Monday.

Following the meeting, assistant coach, Roscoe Kreiling told the club's website: “I found the meeting very informative and positive with regards to Coach Stuart Baxter’s plan of getting closer to PSL clubs.

“It was great for all of us in the Technical Team to share our views about football as well as listen and gain knowledge around his vision for the national team.”

Chippa's performance analyst, Sinesipho Mali was also elated with the opportunity to have a sit down with the Bafana Bafana mentor.

“It was an insightful meeting. He shared his vision for the national team and how we can assist (as Clubs) to enhance the process." he said.

Baxter's next major assignment with the national side is a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya at home in early September.

It has not been revealed as to which club Baxter will visit next.
