Cape Town - Banyana Banyana captain Janine van Wyk has wished Bafana Bafana well ahead of Wednesday's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) quarter-final against Nigeria.

Stuart Baxter's men will be aiming to cause yet another upset at the African showpiece after knocking out hosts Egypt in the last 16 thanks to a Thembinkosi Lorch goal in a shock 1-0 victory.
"Another tough encounter tonight for our boys @BafanaBafana! You guys showed true character, belief & heart against the Egyptians and now it's time to take the same approach against Nigeria," Van Wyk said.
The 32-year-old defender also confirmed her commitment to continuing to don the Banyana Banyana jersey "for as long as I can" after the recent conclusion of the 2019 women's World Cup.
