Cape Town - Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter admitted his disappointment at goalkeeper coach Andre Arendse's unavailability for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Libya.
Arendse withdrew from Baxter's technical team due to personal reasons and at this stage it is unclear who will step into the breach to replace the 51-year-old.
Speaking to the South African Football Association's official website, the 65-year-old said: "It really is a sad loss to not to have the services of Andre, whom I have worked with for a long time.
"It is even more difficult not to have him at such a crucial time when we are resuming our AFCON qualifying campaign, but I have to understand his situation.
"We are going into camp on Sunday, which means we don't have time, so I have the whole of Friday [today] to get a replacement, and it must be someone who I believe will do the job for our last line of defence.
"And as soon as I have a name, we will make an announcement."
Meanwhile, U17 coach Molefi Ntseki has been named as his assistant for the clash against the Mediterranean Knights on Saturday, September 8 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Kick-off is at 15:00.
