The three-year sponsorship was announced at SAFA House by the Association President, Danny Jordaan and D’S Damat's Ferhat Saridogan, on Wednesday morning.

The sponsorship entails dressing Bafana Bafana and Banyana Banyana players during all of their official games. The clothing company which has over 285 stores worldwide, will also dress the entire SAFA Executive and SAFA staff with the value that runs into millions of Rand.

D’S Damat is a Turkish brand and also sponsors the Turkey National Team and popular side, Fenerbahce.

Welcoming the new partners, SAFA’s Dr Jordaan said good dressing always builds self-esteem adding the Argentina national team was the best dressed side in the world but will now have to keep their eye on Bafana Bafana and Banyana Banyana.

"This is huge sponsorship and coming from a reputable and international brand, this partnership will go a long way in making sure our national teams are well dressed and looked after. Both our men and women teams will be dressed in wonderful suits," Jordaan said.

D’S Damat’s Sarigodan said his company didn't think twice about dressing South Africa’s two top teams because Bafana Bafana and Banyana Banyana were a big brand on the continent and globally.

He said he was looking forward to a strong relationship with SAFA and didn’t rule out spreading this partnership to other national teams including junior teams.
