Cape Town - Stuart Baxter's Bafana Bafana side face a must-win clash against Senegal in their rescheduled 2018 Soccer World Cup qualifier at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday, November 10.
As it happened: Bafana Bafana v Burkina Faso
Anything but the full three points will see Bafana miss out on next year's spectacle in Russia.
Despite an impressive 3-1 victory in Saturday's qualifier against Burkina Faso, Senegal's 2-0 win over Cape Verde saw the Senegalese go top of Group D, some four points ahead of South Africa with only two matches remaining.
Despite their defeats, Burkina Faso and Cape Verde lie second and third, respectively, in the standings, two points ahead of Bafana, albeit having played one more match.
Only the group winner will progress to Russia 2018.
The match on November 10 was ordered after FIFA annulled the earlier result between the countries - a 2-1 victory for South Africa - after a probe triggered by betting patterns led to Ghanaian referee Joseph Lamptey being found guilty of match manipulation.
It will be the first World Cup qualifier in any continent to be replayed after a referee fixed the outcome.
