Andile Jali has been in fine form alongside Dean Furman, with the two becoming a powerful midfielder duo.

The pair have played a crucial role in South Africa’s undefeated run in the AFCON 2015 qualifying stage.

According to African Football, the former Orlando Pirates box-to-box midfielder admits that he has gained an immense amount of knowledge under Shakes Mashaba’s guidance.

"When I came into Bafana I had to adapt to the new coach style, I tried my best and I feel it is working now," said Jali.

"I think the coach's style has helped my partnership with him [Furman].”

"These games [AFCON Qualifiers] help me more than playing in the Belgium League.

"Playing for national team helps a lot." added Jali.

Bafana Bafana sit atop Group A wit two wins and a draw from their opening three games. A win against Congo in Polokwane will put Bafana Bafana in the driving seat to secure Morocco 2015 status.

South Africa will play Congo at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday, October 15 in Polokwane in the return AFCON qualifier.

Kick-off is scheduled for 20:05.

Group A standings (played, won, drawn, lost, goals for, goals against, points) :

Congo 3 2 0 1 5 4 6
