Tshabalala ready for Egypt

Johannesburg - Bafana Bafana midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala believes Pitso Mosimane can lead the side to a memorable victory over Egypt on March 26 at Ellis Park Stadium.

Mosimane will announce the squad to face the Pharaohs in an AFCON qualifier on Tuesday - a game which is crucial in keeping South Africa in pole position.

Bafana are currently at the summit of Group G, with four points after two outings and Egypt are languishing at the bottom of the standings with a solitary point.

Tshabalala told Football365.co.za: "It will be a big one for the country and though we are playing at home it will definitely not be an easy game for us.

"But the good thing is we have been given more time by the PSL to prepare, because if you check after the league games on Wednesday there is a gap until the beginning of April and also, I have faith in my team-mates and the coach that we will do well in this one.

"As for me, I will try my utmost best to double my efforts to make sure we win. I will come to the party."

Meanwhile, the Kaizer Chiefs star insists he couldn't have asked for a better draw in the Nedbank Cup last 16, where Amakhosi were pitted against BidVest Wits.

"Honestly speaking, I'm very happy we got Wits. I will rather we play a PSL team than a first division team. First division teams can cause a lot of problem," Tshabalala concluded.
