Shakes thanks SA for support

Johannesburg - Bafana Bafana head coach Shakes Mashaba has thanked the South African public for the support and faith they have shown in the national team during the course of their qualifications for the 2015 African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

According to the soccerladuma website, The Bafana mentor, who named his final 23-man squad on Tuesday, will re-assemble his squad on Friday 2 January 2015 for a camp ahead of their international Friendly against Zambia at the Orlando Stadium on Sunday, before departing for the pre-AFCON camp in Gabon on 6 January 2015.

“To all those who supported the team during the qualifying campaign, who sent us prayers and messages of support, we would like to say thank you,” said Mashaba in an official release from the South African Football Association.

“Now we are moving to a higher level where we will need that support again. Come back and give the team the strength it needs to do well on this coming assignment,” he added.
