Shakes loses Zulu for NMC

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana will hope to retain the Nelson Mandela Challenge trophy when they host Ivory Coast at the Mbombela Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Shakes Mashaba will not be able to call upon Chippa United's Siyabonga Zulu after the defender injured his ankle in the build up to the game.

SAFA's Matlhomola Morake confirmed the news on Twitter on Saturday.

Morake tweeted this picture which show's Zulu's ankle being iced:



The match against Ivory Coast is seen as a replay of the 2011 challenge where these African giants played to a 1-all draw at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
