The Ajax Cape Town captain is one of four uncapped players in Pitso Mosimane's 28-man squad for Saturday's fixture, and a friendly three days later in Zimbabwe.
"I want to grab this opportunity with both hands because this is the chance of a lifetime," Scott told the Cape Times.
"It's also a special chance to play alongside one of my role models, Steven Pienaar, and I'm looking forward to the challenge."
Scott, 23, says he owes much to former Urban Warriors boss Foppe de Haan, who spotted his potential as a holding midfielder last season.
"I owe Foppe a lot. In the past, coaches played me in different positions and I never got a chance to settle. I think that affected my game and my confidence, because on the Wednesday I would play seven, and then on Saturday I would play 11," he said.
"Foppe identified my best position and it's a position where I've found some form over the last season. And that is good for a player, because people like the national coach start to notice you," he concluded.
Musa Bilankulu (Golden Arrows), George Lebese (Kaizer Chiefs) and Siyabonga Nontshinga (Jomo Cosmos) are the other un-capped players in the Bafana Bafana squad.
