Cape Town - Bafana Bafana will play an international friendly against Nigeria at the Mbombela Stadium on March 29, SAFA has confirmed.

Prior to the fixture, the Amajimbos will play Mali in a friendly at the same venue while the national under-23 side have been invited to play Palestine in Hebron on March 14.

The fixtures were confirmed at a press conference at SAFA house on Friday morning.

SAFA boss Danny Jordan revealed that SAFA will attempt to arrange a friendly against Soccer World Cup finalists, Argentina, in the future.

"The match the we looked at was Argentina. But they were clear that it's the Cup of Nations for South America and hence it did not happen" said Jordaan.

Mashaba was unconcerned about facing Nigeria again, saying: "The best will always play the best, it doesn't matter how many times".

The friendly was expected to be played on March 28 but SAFA have now confirmed the fixture for the following day.

South Africa have faced Nigeria twice as Shakes Mashaba's side progresses to the tournament finals.
