Coetzee must stay humble

Cape Town - Eric Mathoho has offered his Bafana Bafana defensive partner, Rivaldo Coetzee, advice on remaining grounded at his tender age.

According to goal.com, Mathoho admits that Coetzee is a special player having played regularly for club and country.

“The fact that he is only 18 and playing regularly says a lot about his quality,” said Mathoho.

“His future is bright and everybody can see that.

“He must just remain as humble as he is, must continue to work hard and must not become big-headed now that he is a regular in the national team.”

The chemistry between the two young defenders has been blooming since Shakes Mashaba paired the two together during AFCON qualification rounds

“But I really enjoy playing alongside him, we help each other through each game by communication, and he is a terrific defender.”
