According to Soccer Laduma, Patosi missed two flights organised by SAFA to get him into the country and meet up with Bafana Bafana at camp ahead of their two crucial AFCON qualifiers against Sudan in Khartoum and Nigeria in Cape Town.
It has been reported when missing the flights Patosi, who plays in Belgium for Lokeren, offered to pay for his own plane tickets in order for him to join up with the rest of the Bafana squad.
Shakes Mashaba and Patosi have reportedly exchanged words with the 21-year-old apologising to the Bafana coach for not honouring his call-up. It is said that the midfielder was spotted in Cape Town on the evening when Bafana played their goalless draw against Nigeria.
After the opening two rounds of the AFCON qualifying stages, South Africa are in second position in their Group A following a 3-0 win over Sudan in Khartoum and goalless draw in Cape Town against a stern Nigeria.Congo, with two wins from their two games, are in first place while the Super Eagles, who gained one point from the draw against South Africa in Cape Town, find themselves just one point better than Sudan who are in last position.
