Cape Town - Lokeren midfielder Ayanda Patosi says has moved on from his AFCON 2015 disappointment and isvery  happy to be back in the national fold.

Patosi told SAFA media that he was "saddened" by being overlooked for Shakes Mashaba's 2015 African Cup of Nations squad.

Upon linking up with team ahead of friendlies against Swaziland on Wednesday evening and Nigeria on March 29, Patosi said: "I am very happy to be back in the team. I have always wanted to be part of the squad. It has always been a dream of mine to play for Bafana Bafana since I was a kid, now I have that opportunity to play again and I am happy I am here."

Speaking about missing AFCON 2015, the play-maker said: "I was very saddened when I was not named in that squad, but then again it is all part of the game. It happened and I just had to be strong and move on, but you must also bear in mind that a very good squad was selected."

"It was just unfortunate that we did not bring back the required results because the guys really gave their all in Equatorial Guinea. But that is all behind me now and here I am again so I have to take the chance with both hands and do my best."

Patosi believes the two friendlies in March will be good for the national team and will aid the continuous development and learning that the side is currently undertaking.

"They offer different approaches and different threats and we have to treat them with a great degree of importance. A good win against Swaziland will give us a morale booster ahead of the perhaps more difficult clash against the Super Eagles of Nigeria." added Patosi.

The Lokeren star has been included in the starting linuep against Swaziland.

Bafana Bafana and Swaziland are set to play on Wednesday, March 25 with the kick-off scheduled for 19:00.

Bafana Bafana XI: Itumeleng Khune (GK), Thapelo Morena, Thabo Matlaba, Thulani Hlatshwayo (c), Daniel Cardoso, Kamohelo Mokotjo, Cole Alexander, Thulani Serero, Lehlohonolo Majoro, Ayanda Patosi, Thabo Mnyamane
