Parker retains Bafana ambition

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs striker Bernard Parker insists he still has plenty to offer Bafana Bafana after finding himself of the fringes of the national team this year.

The 29-year-old has been left out of the African Nations Championship squad set to face Mauritius on Saturday, while he managed only two substitute appearances at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

However, Parker proved his worth with Amakhosi last term, netting eight goals in the 2014/15 campaign as the Glamour Boys clinched a Absa Premiership and MTN8 double.

"I do feel that I still got a lot to give to Bafana Bafana. I have proven over the years," Parker told KickOff.

"I have proven with different coaches and I have proven this time around where I scored vital goals when coming back from a crazy injury.

"If the coach gives me a chance, I will definitely go out there and do what I have always been doing for Bafana."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
