According to Soccer Laduma, there has been a concern around the Ebola virus which is the core reason why Morocco relinquished their hosting duties.

Reports suggest that there have been no extra medical precautions taken just of yet ahead of Bafanas’ trip.

Chimhavi insist that the players and staff alike will all be safe when they travel to West Africa.

“We don’t want to delve on such issues. That’s a sensitive issue, especially from South Africa.

“We don’t want the rest of Africa to think that we are xenophobic. These are our brothers and we hope to receive brotherly reception from Nigeria.

"We always get receptive reception from the Nigerians. We hope for the same when we travel there for the game on Wednesday,” said Chimhavi.

Meanwhile, Bafana Bafana will face Sudan on Saturday, November 15 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
