The 25-year-old has picked up 18 caps for his country, but his international career came to a sudden halt after he was involved in a terrible road accident in the early hours of 30 June 2009.
Moon hit pedestrian Mavis Ncube with his Mercedes Benz while driving home from a party organised by former Bafana captain Aaron Mokoena to celebrate the end of the FIFA Confederations Cup hosted by South Africa. Ncube was taken to hospital and died later from head injuries.
According to reports, the case, which had been postponed, will resume on December 5 at the Randburg Magistrate court. However, Moon insists he is focused solely on regaining his place in the Bafana team.
"I want to regain my position in the Bafana team and I'm gonna fight for it. Hopefully, I will get a call up soon," he told Football365.co.za. "I was out for a while. Now I'm back to my full strength and potential."
The 25-year-old fullback also revealed the reason behind Matsatsantsa's resolute defence this season, with Gavin Hunt's men having conceded just six goals in 12 league matches.
"We have a good team spirit and understanding among the players. We never take anything personal; if I shout at Morgan (Gould) or if Morgan shouts at me we never take offence. We take it as positive criticism and move on from there," he added.
Meanwhile, Moon says United are ready to beat another Soweto giant, Orlando Pirates, when the two teams clash on Saturday evening.
"Everyone wants to beat the big teams so it is important for us to stay where we are on the league table. We want to win, so we will go out to do our best," he concluded.
