Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teko Modise admits he still retains hope of returning to the Bafana Bafana fold following an international absence of more than two years.

The 32-year-old last featured for South Africa in November 2012 after falling out of form and favour, although he appears to be back to his best this term after netting five goals in the Premiership season so far.
And, with fans and pundits alike calling for Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba to reconsider Modise's international career, the playmaker is hoping to once again don the famous green and gold.
"I still believe in my heart that I will play again for Bafana, even if it is just one match," he told KickOff.
"But it is not up to me at the end of the day. It is up to the people who select the team and they have their own criteria.
"I will always respect that and I will never question them.
“They are in charge and for me I must perform week in and week out, irrespective of whether I'm called into the squad."
