Cape Town - South Africa's minister of sport, Fikile Mbalula, has called on Bafana Bafana to make a successful bid for AFCON qualification in honour of the late Senzo Meyiwa.

Later this month the national team will conclude their AFCON qualifying campaign with fixtures against Sudan and Nigeria, and they will have to do so without captain Meyiwa, with the 27-year-old having been tragically shot and killed last weekend.
Speaking at Meyiwa's funeral on Saturday, Mbalula issued a rallying call to the fallen goalkeeper's team-mates.
"We say to Bafana, go to Morocco to make us proud," said Mbalula.
"Fulfil Senzo's wishes of qualifying for AFCON, this is what we are asking for.
"We will never judge you as a bunch of losers, because you are a good bunch of winners at present."
South Africa currently sit at the top of AFCON qualifying Group A, with eight points from their opening four matches, one point clear of Congo.
Shakes Mashaba will announce his latest AFCON qualifier squad on Tuesday.
