Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana left-back Tsepo Masilela has completed a successful operation on his right knee, a report on the Soccer Laduma website indicates.
The 28-year-old defender was last week withdrawn from Bafana's squad due to the planned operation on his knee which has troubled him all season. He was part of the Kaizer Chiefs team that defeated SuperSport United 1-0 in the final of the Nedbank Cup in Durban on June 25.
Masilela went under the knife last week and confirmed things went well. It's uncertain when he'll be ready to return to action though.
"I had a successful operation. The team doctors will still have to check me and tell me how long I will be out but for. What I can tell you is that the operation was successful and I just have to take time to heal," he said.
