Mashaba: There will be changes

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba says because of injuries and withdrawals from the team, he is going to make changes to the team that will play Mauritius on Sunday.

The coach told Sport24 that they want to have the best team for the return match, even though they carry a 3-0 advantage from the first game.

The winner of the tie will meet Swaziland or Angola in the next round in October, to fight out for a place at the CHAN Finals in Rwanda.

"We will make some changes," Mashaba told Sport24.

“We will look at the game plan for the day, then from there we will see which players can do the job on the day.

“We know everyone who is given the chance can do the job, but they will just be tactical changes.

“We want to win and maintain the lead to qualify for the next round of the CHAN qualifiers.”

Kick-off is at 13:00 SA time.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
