Manenzhe backs Bafana for CHAN spot

Johannesburg - Following their easy triumph over Mauritius on Sunday, former Orlando Pirates striker Phumudzo Manenzhe believes Bafana Bafana have what it takes to defeat Angola and claim a 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN) spot in Rwanda.

Bafana defeated Mauritius 2-0 in the second leg of the CHAN qualifiers at Anjalay Stadium courtesy of Mandla Masango and Wandisile Letlabika strikes.

The “Bold and the Beautiful” said Bafana will have a tough clash against the Angolans but due to their current style of play they should emerge victorious.

“It is going to be a very difficult game and a tough one for them against Angola,” said Manenzhe.

“But I believe that Bafana Bafana have what it takes to overcome the Angolans.

“Their experience gained against Mauritius and other games recently will play a vital role for them.

“And with the type of football they are playing at the moment I don’t see them failing to beat Angola.

“And our players are really combining so well and they are now scoring goals in almost every game.”

The dates for two-legged encounters against Angola are yet to be confirmed.
