Back to the practise fields for the lads.

HALF-TIME:
New Zealand 0-0 South Africa

No shortage of action, despite the lack of goals!

Both teams had their chances, but lets hope for even more action in the second period!

Join us in about 15 minutes...

45' - One minute of added time will be played...

42' - BAFANA OFF THE HOOK!

The hosts break down the right wing with real purpose before sliding the ball across goal, where Mkhwanazi completely misses his attempted clearance, allowing the ball to roll across goal, but Boxall is taken by surprise and hits fresh air!

39' - Third corner of the game for Bafana and YET AGAIN they opt for a short corner. It leads to nothing... This is ridiculous. Rather opt for the long ball into the box!!!

38' - Bafana have enjoyed 80% of the possession in the last five minutes...

37' - Another chance for Bafana but Rantie's shot goes over the cross-bar. He received a sound cross from Mokeke...

35' - Bafana definitely appear to be in the driver's seat at present, launching wave after wave of attack just outside the Kiwi box...

33' - POSSESSION AFTER 33 MINUTES

All Whites 49%
Bafana 51%

Bafana 47%

21' - Thomas has since been moved off and is being looked at by physio Roland Jeffery.

20' - Another Kiwi player is down, holding his face in agony. It looks like Ryan Thomas.

He took a knock to the shin-bone there, but my word, these Kiwis appear to be going down quite easily...

15' - A few minutes later Patosi gets another chance but his thunderous strike from just outside the box narrowly misses to the left. I figured he had the Kiwi 'keeper beaten there!

11' - Phala is brought down just outside the box which gives Bafana a perfect attacking opportunity.

The free kick into the box is well dealt with by Bafana though...

Defender Anele Ngcongca will be Bafana's captain for today's game!

Midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane was the skipper in Monday's 1-1 draw with Australia.

Bafana beat the Kiwis last time these two sides met in the Confederations Cup in 2009.

On that night, a brace from Bernard Parker secured a 2-0 win for South Africa.

Goalkeeper Glen Moss is New Zealand's sole survivor from that game.

South African-born defender Storm Roux will also get to play against his country of birth, after being named in the starting line-up. He was born in Somerset West!
