Free kick to Bafana and it leads another missed attempt by Bafana.

Back to the practise fields for the lads.

Incredible scenes in Auckland as the All Whites sub their goalkeeper. I know its a friendly but that's just crazy.

87' -  Bafana Sub

Bafana make a late change now, with Tokelo Rantie given a breather, having seemingly picked up a knock to his leg, with Siphelele Mthembu coming on in his place.

A slice of cheese handed out to Boxall for a foul on Serero.

And Hlompho_Kekana's effort to repeat his heroics against Mozambique and Orlando_Piratesfails. Dismally. respect - Neal Collins

Three changes made for New Zealand. Are they panicking or taking it easy?

Still goalless

The match is still goalless. People are continuing to talk more about our coach possibly getting the axe than the match in progess.

So it looks like we could see Carlos Queiroz back in the Bafanamix from August. I always rated him and though we let him go to easily. - Keegan Kruger

New Zealand 0-0 South Africa

No shortage of action, despite the lack of goals!

Both teams had their chances, but lets hope for even more action in the second period!

Join us in about 15 minutes...

45' - One minute of added time will be played...

The hosts break down the right wing with real purpose before sliding the ball across goal, where Mkhwanazi completely misses his attempted clearance, allowing the ball to roll across goal, but Boxall is taken by surprise and hits fresh air!

#igesund has opted for the short corners today. Missing Mathoho's height - Neal Collins

39' - Third corner of the game for Bafana and YET AGAIN they opt for a short corner. It leads to nothing... This is ridiculous. Rather opt for the long ball into the box!!!

38' - Bafana have enjoyed 80% of the possession in the last five minutes...

37' - Another chance for Bafana but Rantie's shot goes over the cross-bar. He received a sound cross from Mokeke...

35' - Bafana definitely appear to be in the driver's seat at present, launching wave after wave of attack just outside the Kiwi box...

26' - A big chance in the box for New Zealand goes begging when Marco Rojas' left-footed shot is fired wide of the right hand upright.

Bafana off the hook there!

All Whites 53%
Bafana 47%

21' - Thomas has since been moved off and is being looked at by physio Roland Jeffery.

20' - Another Kiwi player is down, holding his face in agony. It looks like Ryan Thomas.

He took a knock to the shin-bone there, but my word, these Kiwis appear to be going down quite easily...

All White's with 60% possession after the opening 15 minutes #NZLvRSA - Wellington Phoenix

15' - A few minutes later Patosi gets another chance but his thunderous strike from just outside the box narrowly misses to the left. I figured he had the Kiwi 'keeper beaten there!

12' - However, Patosi's shot into the box is a weak one and the Kiwi 'keeper deals with it easily...

11' - Phala is brought down just outside the box which gives Bafana a perfect attacking opportunity.

8' - A bit of a scuffle in midfield after Serero brings down Payne. The latter is not happy and pushes a prone Seroro's head down.

5' - First free kick goes to New Zealand when Nhlapo brings down Boyd.

The free kick into the box is well dealt with by Bafana though...

Bafana coach coach Gordon Igesund had made three changes to his starting line-up from the team that drew 1-1 with Australia on Monday.

Ronwen Williams replaces goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa, while Siyabonga Nhlapo and Buhle Mkhwanazi replace the injured Thabo Nthethe and Erick Mathoho, who pulled out after news reached Australia last weekend that his cousin had passed away.

Anele Ngcongca is the captain.

Goalkeeper Glen Moss is New Zealand's sole survivor from that game.

South African-born defender Storm Roux will also get to play against his country of birth, after being named in the starting line-up. He was born in Somerset West!
