Another sterling defensive effort by South Africa contributed to this win. Meyiwa was outstanding in goal again for Bafana, pulling off a number of saves.
The goals by Ndulula and Rantie were extremely well taken (and Furman's pass to Rantie was brilliant).
Congo will be unhappy that they didn't take at least one of their numerous chances, they were wasteful in front of goal today.
Bafana Bafana now lead Group A with 7 points. Sudan take on Nigeria later today.

Both teams have had some chances but no breakthrough as of yet. Rantie with Bafana's best chance but he took a touch to many and lost control. Bifouma also had a great chance for Congo with a back heel and a powerful shot, both of which were saved by Meyiwa.
Congo 0-2 South Africa
Congo go close with two corners in quick succession, with their second effort on goal landing on the roof of the net.
Meyiwa makes another great save to deny Bifouma, who must be wondering what he has to do to get a goal.
The referee's assistant signals for five minutes of added time.
Letsholonyane races onto a pass on the edge of the Congo area before unleashing a driven effort which flies well wide of the target.
Offside! Meyiwa makes a save from an initial effort before the shot on the follow-up is smashed home. However, the flag is up on the sideline and the goal is chalked off.
Serero picks up a yellow card for persistent fouling after attempting to win the ball off a win almost twice his size.
Furman makes a brilliant last-ditch tackle to deny Bifouma, who was about to pull the trigger after making a surging run into the danger area.
Bifouma very nearly finds the back of the net with a low shot across the face of goal, but Meyiwa is alert to the danger and palms the ball to safety.
The hosts are quickly running out of time to pull one back. South Africa have looked more likely to find the back of the net in the remaining minutes.
Close! Koubemba's shot from the left-hand side of the box is deflected into the side netting. The resulting corner comes to nothing, though, as Meyiwa blocks a goal-bound effort with his legs.
Letsholonyane makes an instant impact as he almost finds a team-mate with a scooped pass. Just moments later he concedes a free-kick near the halfway line.
Final change for South Africa as Reneilwe Letsholonyane comes on for Mandla Masango.
Substitute Kermit Erasmus beats his marker on the left flank before laying the ball off for Vilakazi, who sends a curling effort straight into the grateful arms of Massa.
Close! Bifouma sends in a free-kick and the ball somehow evades the South Africa defence before falling to Ngouga, who smashes over the bar from close range.
The home support has come to life after that chance and Congo renew their efforts as they look to reduce the deficit.
Meyiwa is called into action again and gets down quickly to tip a headed effort clear. The defence comes to his rescue by playing the ball behind for a corner. However, the resulting set piece comes to nothing.
South Africa soak up the pressure after Congo are awarded a corner and launch a quick attack. Rantie bears down on goal but fires wide of the left-hand post. That was a glorious opportunity to put the game to bed.
Congo have forced Bafana back into their own half as the pile on the pressure. The visitors are holding firm for the moment, though.
Meyiwa does well to punch the ball behind for a corner but the header from the result ball into the box flies high and wide.
Both sides are struggling to hold on to the ball at the moment, with Congo adopting a more direct approach.
Claude Le Roy makes two more changes to his team as he looks to spark a comeback.
Ndulula goes down clutching his leg before being escorted off the field by the South African medical team for treatment.
Furman tries to find Rantie with a diagonal ball over the top, but the assistant referee signals for offside.
Congo win a corner kick as they pour forward in search of a much-needed goal. However, Meyiwa is up to the challenge and rushes off his line to punch clear.
Congo win a free-kick about ten yards out, but Igor N'Ganga fires his shot just over the bar.
South Africa double their advantage as Furman plays a delightful through pass for Rantie, who takes one touch to set himself before lashing the ball into the top-left corner from close range.
Ndulula breaks the deadlock as he shrugs clear of his marker before turning and sending a bicycle across the face of goal and into the right-hand corner.
Congo win a corner after Davy Magnokele Bissiki's low cross is deflected behind by Furman. However, the defence clears the danger and South Africa launch a quick counter-attack. Masango surges into the area before seeing his goal-bound effort turned behind for a corner.
It's been a promising start from both teams early on and based on the opening five minutes, this match could offer up some goals after all.
Serero wins a free-kick down on the left flank after being cynically fouled. Masango latches onto the ball into the area but his powerful effort is parried clear by Massa.
The Red Devils win a corner after Matlaba clears the ball behind. Bifouma's initial cross is sent back for another corner. The resulting corner bounces around the area bouncing off several players before falling to the feet of Delvin Ndinga. However, his shot flies just wide of the far post.
First change of the afternoon as Kevin Koubemba comes on for Cesaire Gandze.
The second half gets under way in Pointe-Noire, with South Africa playing from right to left. Both sides will be targeting an improvement following a lacklustre opening 45 minutes.
Congo 0-0 South Africa
Congo win a corner on the stroke of half-time but are twice denied by the Bafana defence.
Bifouma manages to skip past several challenges before toppling over in the box following a strong challenge. The referee is having none of it, though, signalling for play to continue.
Congo manage to create a good goalscoring chance after a patient build-up, but Cesaire Gandze fires his left-footed effort well wide of the post from the edge of the area.
Despite his lack of experience, debutant Coetzee has looked clam and assured thus far.
Serero and Rantie link up nicely on the edge of the area before the lartter plays the ball into the feet of Matlaba. However, the Orlando Pirates man's shot at goal is snapped up with minimal fuss by Massa.
More murmurs of discontent from the boisterous home support after another Congo attack breaks down. South Africa look more likely to break the deadlock at the moment.
Worrying scenes here for Bafana as Furman goes down after clashing with Prince Oniangue's raised boot. However, he is quickly back on his feet and accepts an apology from Oniangue.
Dean Furman dispossesses his man before launching a counter, finding Serero with a curling cross to feet. Serero cuts inside but his powerful shot flies way over the bar.
Jali and Masango combine well on the right flank before the latter pings a cross into the box. Bongani Ndulula gets his head to the ball but his effort flies over the bar. That's another let-off for Congo.
Cesaire Gandze goes down on the left flank once again. It seems some players are struggling to keep their footing on the artificial turf.
Both sides are creating chances, but it is the final ball that is lacking at the moment.
That's better! Andile Jali starts keeps a good passing move going with a quick one-two before making a surging run into the area and squaring ball inside. However, the defence reacts quickest and the danger passes.
Congo very nearly beat the Bafana offside trap, but the searching ball over the top has too much power on it, and the ball rolls out for goal kick.
South Africa manage to string together a good amount of passes which ends with Rantie sending a low cross into the box. However, none of his team-mates are in the box and the danger is cleared.
Congo win a free-kick on the left flank but the resulting cross into the area evades everyone in the box before going out for a goal kick.
South Africa have been forced back into their own half for large passages of play as they look to hit Congo on the counter-attack.
South Africa are given a scare as Meyiwa is called into action once again. He tips Bifouma's goal-bound effort round the post for a corner. However, the resulting corner comes to nothing as the Bafana defence clears with relative ease.
The Congolese are content to move the ball around patiently as they prod and probe the South Africa defence for an opening, while Bafana appear to be growing in confidence.
Close! Rantie latches onto a lofted ball into the area, but is unable to convert as the Congo defence clears the ball behind for a corner.
Thabo Matlaba almost latches onto a through ball into the Congo area, but goalkeeper Chancel Massa is quickly off his line to snuff out the danger.
Meyiwa is called into action for the first time, snatching the ball on the line after a headed effort on goal from a corner.
Francis N'Ganga latches onto a deep diagonal on the right-hand flank and sends in an invting cross which ricochets around the box before being cleared behind for a corner.
Thievy Bifouma collects the ball on the left flank and drives towards the South Africa goal before being dispossessed by a last-ditch tackle.
The visitors are struggling to hold onto the ball at the moment, with the final pass often lacking accuracy and power.
Bafana win a free-kick just inside the Congo half, but it comes to nothing as the hosts' defence easily deals with the danger.
The Red Devils have started brightly and are enjoying the lion's share of possession early on.

Senzo Meyiwa captain's Bafana Bafana once again, while the 17-year-old Rivaldo Coetzee replaces the injured Anele Ngcongca. Oupa Manyisa and Sibusiso Vilakazi make way for Thulani Serero and Tokelo Rantie.
Claude Le Roy's Congo-Brazzaville, meanwhile, head into the clash boasting a 100 per cent record, having claimed the scalps of Nigeria and Sudan to clinch top spot in Group A.
Shakes Mashaba's men will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in the qualifiers to three three games, following a 3-0 triumph over Sudan and a goalless draw with defending champions Nigeria.
