That's all from our coverage from the AFCON 2015 qualifier between Bafana Bafana and Sudan!

What a result for the national team after a difficult time after the death of Senzo Meyiwa!

They did for Senzo in Durban today! Well done Bafana Bafana!

15 Nov 16:58

That win means South Africa can travel to Nigeria knowing that their place at AFCON 2015 is secure.

A great 70 minute performance from the team with Furman, Serero and Rantie the standout performers.

After looking comfortable with a 2-0 lead, the national team took their foot off the pace as Sudan got back into the game.

It will be a day to remember for the team as they celebrate qualification to the finals of AFCON 2015.

15 Nov 16:54

15 Nov 16:52

Free-kick to Sudan but it's quickly taken...

Nail biting stuff.

SA hack it clear!

15 Nov 16:52
55 seconds left!
15 Nov 16:51

Less than two minutes to go!

The fans inside in the stadium seem confident and so they should be!

15 Nov 16:51

Sudan hit the ball upfield and a penalty shout is waved away.

Heart in mouth moment as Khumalo gets the good news that he didn't give away a penalty!

15 Nov 16:50

Three minutes left.

Yeye hits a shot well over!

15 Nov 16:49

We are into the final four minutes of added time.

Bafana continue to give the ball away. Sudan looking strong but our scrappy defence is holding out!

15 Nov 16:49
FOUR minutes added on!
15 Nov 16:48

Moses Mabhida Stadium - official attendance 32 144!

15 Nov 16:47
Just two minutes to go! Come on Bafana stop giving the ball away!
15 Nov 16:47

Yeye on for his 50th cap!

Serero off. He looks completely shattered!

15 Nov 16:46

87' Yeye and Masango ready to come on and boy do we need some fresh legs.

Sekola has been poor, he may not be ready for this level just yet.

15 Nov 16:44

84' The clock is ticking away ever so slowly...

Keet collects from a Sudan free-kick. He looks calm but Sudan are pressing hard for a second!

15 Nov 16:43

Danger is dealt with and the break is on for Rantie.

It fizzles out as he waited for support to reach him.

He's had a great game!

15 Nov 16:42

83' Mathoho yellow carded for fouling the Sudan striker on the counter attack.

Sudan have a free-kick in a good area!

15 Nov 16:41

82' Bafana are doing well to keep play in Sudan's half.

South Africa look like they will hang on to the win...

15 Nov 16:39

79' Bafana are chasing their third goal!

Dean Furman's shot is blocked well but Sudan's counter attack is thwarted!

Tense times as we enter the final 10 minutes!

15 Nov 16:36
Now for some drama!!! 2-1 to Bafana Bafana as Rivaldo Coetzee loses his man and the ball is stroked past Keet.
15 Nov 16:35
15 Nov 16:32

72' Big smiles for Shakes.

The camera pans to Mashaba who is smiling from ear to ear! And why not???

15 Nov 16:31

71' The action is so pedestrian at the moment that the commentators are now talking about SA swimming sensation Chad Le Clos' wisdom teeth.

15 Nov 16:30

70' Twenty minutes to go...

Will there by any late drama or are Bafana off to Equatorial Guinea?

15 Nov 16:28

68' Thulani Serero with another ambitious through ball.

He is thriving in a more central role and the team is as well as a result!

15 Nov 16:27

68' And then attack bursts into life.

Rantie again making a run into the box but the keeper rushes out to put him off.

15 Nov 16:26

67' The game has gone a bit flat now but Bafana Bafana are not worried.

The ball is being played around at the back with no Sudan pressure.

15 Nov 16:21

61' It's all going according to plan in Durban.

What a great tempo that the team are playing at now.

Sekola misses a chance to grab a debut goal, his tame effort trickles to the Sudan keeper.

15 Nov 16:20

60' Tokelo Rantie denied a penalty due to him fouling a player just before the keeper brought him down.

Good refereeing there by the Algerian official.

15 Nov 16:18

Sekola comes on to make his debut.

No Majoro or Erasmus means the young Free State Stars striker gets a run out.

15 Nov 16:16

Anele Ngcongca reacts after a shocking challenge on him.

Two sides both get involved in a push and shove match!

Finally sorted out now.

15 Nov 16:13

What a great goal from Rantie.

Superb run after a great pass from Serero but his finish is the most impressive thing I've seen from this game.

What a goal!

15 Nov 16:12
15 Nov 16:12
15 Nov 16:12
52'  GOALLL!!!
15 Nov 16:12

52' Ndulula's shocker continues...

Bongani Ndulula misses a golden chance to get a shot on target as he eventually gets a shot away.

His weak shot hits the side netting and Sudan breathe again!

15 Nov 16:10

Rantie is ruled offside before he strikes the ball into the back of the net.

Was very, very tight!

15 Nov 16:09

49' Oupa Manyisa wrestled to the floor so Bafana Bafana have a free-kick in opposition half.

Khumalo's cross is easily caught by the Sudan keeper.

15 Nov 16:06

47' What a start to the second half by Bafana Bafana.

Loads of pressure in the Sudan box.

15 Nov 16:05

45' So close!

Rantie almosts seals the deal in the first minute of the second half!

Good, brave save by the Sudan keeper.

15 Nov 16:04

As the 2nd half kicks off, Bafana Bafana need to keep the clean sheet and then we will qualify for AFCON 2015!

  • The crowd erupts as the referee blows the final whistle, Bafana Bafana have secured their place at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations. Great performance overall, despite Sudan making for a tense finish to the game. For Sudan, though, the defeat means they are out of the competition with one more qualifier remaining.

  • The four minutes is up and Bafana have a free kick after a foul on Sekola, who is being stretchered off as a precaution. Surely that will be enough.
