Cape Town - Maritzburg United coach Steve Komphela wants Bafana Bafana to change nothing during their pursuit for AFCON glory.

According to KickOff, Komphela feels that Shakes Mashaba and Bafana Bafana do not need major changes when the tournament starts on January 17th to February 8th.

"Any final stages of any tournament you can't choose the opponent," says Komphela.

"They are all equally competent and capable of winning the tournament so if you can go through the group stages then there will be hope.

"You have gone this far now, enjoy the moment... keep on doing what you do best and don't change anything. There shouldn't be any stage fright," adds the former Bafana caretaker boss.

Bafana Bafana's Group C fixtures:

January 19 - South Africa v Algeria, Estadio de Mongomo, 21:00

January 23 - Senegal v South Africa, Estadio de Mongomo, 21: 00

January 27 - Ghana v South Africa, Estadio de Mongomo, 20:00

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
