Khune expects mental test

Cape Town – South African goalkeeper Itumeleng Knune reveals that the international friendly against Costa Rica will test Bafana Bafana's mental strength.

According to Soccer Laduma, Khune expects the players to rise to the occasion and will bring the most out of the players.

“Everyone is excited to be here and matches against countries like Costa Rica are what bring the best in most professional players,” says Khune.

“I saw them play Brazil last month and the truth is they are a formidable side that will test our mental strength."

South Africa take on Costa Rica on Thursday, October 8 in San Jose at the Estadio Nacional.

Kick-off is at 04:00 SA time on Friday, October 9.

Five days later, Bafana Bafana clash against Honduras at the Metropolitano Stadium in San Pedro Sula.

Kick-off is at 00:00 SA time.
