Cape Town - Bafana Bafana defender Sibusiso Khumalo feels he must have done something
right to convince Shakes Mashaba to call him up again for the final AFCON
qualifiers against Sudan and Nigeria.
Khumalo expressed his delight at being back in the Bafana mix.
"Yes my bru, it is a great feeling, which means the last game against Congo Brazzaville the coach Mashaba was happy about my performance and I think that's why he has called me once again," he told KickOff .com website.
Khumalo conceded the team will have to be strong as they prepare to play their first game since the passing of Bafana captain and goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa, who was fatally shot on October 26.
"It will be difficult but what we can do," he said.
"We have to be strong because he was the one who was helping and we were believing in him a lot. But I believe whoever the coach picks will continue where Senzo left off."
Meanwhile, Khumalo felt his persistence has paid off after he fell out of favour at former club Mamelodi Sundowns.
"You must know what you want in life," he said.
"I know the situation that I'm coming from by not playing. If I was not disciplined the time I was at Sundowns, I would have not gotten this second chance since SuperSport United signed me."
