OPINION: Ditch Bafana Bafana, let's go with...

This comes after Bafana Bafana were eliminated from the African Nations Championship (CHAN) after losing 3-1 to Nigeria at the Cape Town Stadium on Sunday.

Bafana's early exit led to sports minister Fikile Mbalula labelling the team a "bunch of losers".

In an interview with the EWN Sport website, Jordaan admitted the country does not have an adequate team which can compete internationally.

He said there are a number of fundamental problems, including the lack of qualified coaches, and that South African soccer needs total reconstruction in order to produce a world class competitive team.
