Igesund in good spirits

Johannesburg - Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund was discharged from hospital on Sunday as originally scheduled.

According to his doctor, Ephraim Nematswerani, the Bafana mentor was in good spirits on routine follow up on Monday.

"He even took a walk to the shops and didn't show any signs of discomfort," said Nematswerani.

"We are very happy with his progress and don't foresee any problems going forward."

Igesund was admitted to hospital last week and had his appendix removed.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
