Furman explains Bafana exclusion

Cape Town – Bafana Bafana midfielder Dean Furman said that his club did not want to release him at such a hectic time of the season.

According to Soccer Laduma, Furman admits that SAFA allowed him to stay behind on a request basis.

“It’s a hugely important time for the club and we need everyone fit and ready to fight for the final eight games.

“We are three points off the playoffs and we have to give it everything to try get into the top six.”

Furman’s exclusion from the Bafana Bafana internationals games shows how much Doncaster Rovers value the midfielder.

He added: “I would like to wish the team all the very best for the two games and urge the people in South Africa to go out and support the team.

Bafana Bafana are set to play on Wednesday, March 25 against Swaziland (19:00 kick-off) before hosting Nigeria at the Mbombela Stadium on Sunday, March 29 (15:00 kick-off).
