Furman doubtful for Bafana

Johannesburg - Bafana Bafana midfielder Dean Furman could miss out on the friendly game against Norway at the Cape Town Stadium next Tuesday, January 8.

According to the football411.com website, the Cape Town-born anchorman, who plays for Oldham Athletic, is involved in an FA Cup match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, January 6.

This will see him missing out on several Bafana Bafana training sessions leading up to the game and coach Gordon Igesund may elect not to start with Furman against the Norwegians.

The squad arrived in Cape Town on Wednesday evening, with Kagisho Dikgacoi also absent, although the Crystal Palace midfielder is expected to arrive on Thursday.

Furman has played five matches for the national team since his call-up by Igesund towards the end of 2012.
