According to the Football411 website, Gordon Igesund has done wonders since taking over the South African national team last year, leading the side to within one win of topping 2014 World Cup qualifying Group A as they prepare to face leaders Ethiopia on Sunday.
That form comes in stark contrast to the one that saw them fail to even qualify for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, and Doncaster Rovers playmaker Furman has spoken of his delight at how far the team have come since then.
"I think the more we play together, and train, the more understanding that is beginning to show amongst the team. And whoever comes in and does their job, our shape is very solid at the moment," the midfielder told The Sowetan.
"And I think as long as we've got that base defensively we know we've got the players who can create a bit of magic at any time."
