Friendly goes to Orlando

Johannesburg - Stadium Management South Africa (SMSA) has announced that Orlando Stadium will host Bafana Bafana's international friendly against Zimbabwe on 10 September.

Kickoff for the match is at 20:30.

Polokwane City had originally expressed interest in hosting Cosafa’s biggest derby but pulled out, Safa said in a statement.

Although King Zwelithini in Durban and Atteridgeville’s Lucas Moripe came in for reckoning, Bafana coach Gordon Igesund said Orlando Stadium would provide an ideal atmosphere for the duel.

"I am happy that the match will take place at one of the country’s home of soccer, and playing Zimbabwe always brings the best out of my players," Igesund said.

Match day tickets are on sale at all Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationwide; the lower tier premium seat tickets, that normally sells for R100, will be subsidised by 50% by SMSA/SAFA and will now sell at R50 for this match only.

Gates open at 17:30pm and public parking is available at R10.00 per vehicle (corner of Klipvalley Spruit & Martha Louw streets).

The hospitality package is on sale at R 750 and will include your suite ticket, complimentary wine, beer & soft drinks, dry snacks, burger & prego bar.

The facility will open 2 hours before the match and close strictly one hour after the match.

Packages can be purchased through Computicket or SAIL (SAIL Hotline number: 081 486 3823) for more information and hospitality bookings, visit www.computicket.com or call 0861 915 8000.
