Cape Town - Eric ‘Tower’ Mathoho has praised 17-year-old Rivaldo Coetzee for his outstanding debut Bafana Bafana performance.

According to Soccer Laduma, Kaizer Chiefs defender Eric Mathoho revealed that the pairs communication was spot on during the Congo clash after the young Ajax Cape Town defender was thrust into the starting lineup in the heart of the Bafana Bafana defence.
“Coetzee defended excellently and despite this being the first time we played together, we communicated nicely with each other and we were able to do the job,” said Tower.
Mathoho admitted that the national side had theirs sights set on a draw for tough encounter in Point Noire but were delighted with the result which saw the side's morale boosted.
“We were all happy.
"We bargained for a draw, but got the three points.
"Even more important was that we got these points away from home. The win has sky-rocketed the spirit in the camp.” said Tower.
Bafana Bafana will play Congo at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday, October 15 in Polokwane in the return AFCON qualifier.
Kick-off is scheduled for 20:05.
