Cape Town - Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Manqoba Ngwenya will part ways with Botswana’s Township Rollers at the end of the month.

'Shakes’ joined Rollers in 2013 after a short stint at another club in Botswana, Notwane, and has been a regular goalscorer for the club, and has been praised for his influence at the club.

The 34-year-old former Bidvest Wits and Sundowns star made one appearance for Bafana in the 2003 Cosafa Cup against Zimbabwe and he was part of the Sundowns’ PSL-winning squad in the 2005/06 and 2006/07 seasons.

Earlier this year he starred for Rollers in the CAF Champions League and made a cameo appearance against Kaizer Chiefs.

The club wished Ngwenya the best on their Facebook page, “We, as Township Rollers FC, wish Manqoba Ngwenya all the very best in all his future endeavors ahead.”

Rollers have just appointed former Chippa United and Mpumalanga Black Aces coach, Mark Harrison, as their new head coach.
