Johannesburg - Bafana Bafana were been boosted by the arrival in camp of five overseas-based players.
According to the supersport.com website, Belgium-based Anele Ngcongca, Andile Jali, Ayanda Patosi and Darren Keet joined their compatriots in camp on Sunday night (December 28) with Tokelo Rantie, who plays his club football in England only arrived on Monday morning (December 29).
All five players have gone to Pretoria for medical assessments as required ahead of the tournament.
They will join their Bafana Bafana team-mates at training this evening at 18:00 (Monday). The squad did not train in the morning after the session was called off to give the players a break.
Bafana Bafana are in camp as part of preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament which starts next month.
coach Ephraim Shakes Mashaba had called up 34 players to the mini-training camp which started on Friday, December 26 and will conclude on Tuesday, December 30 when the squad is trimmed down to the final 23 players who will travel to Equatorial Guinea for the tournament.
Only two players will miss the training camp - Netherlands-based Thulani Serero, who is expected on Friday, January 2 while England-based Dean Furman will be in South Africa two days later.
Bafana Bafana are in Group C along with Algeria, Senegal and Ghana in the tournament.
