Chiefs boast most AFCON stars

Cape Town - Current PSL table-toppers, Kaizer Chiefs, boast the most representation in Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba's AFCON 2015 squad, according to the Soccer Laduma website.

Mashaba named five Amakhosi stars in his 23-man squad to do duty in Equatorial Guinea from January 17 to February 8 next year.

Chiefs are followed by rivals Orlando Pirates and Bidvest Wits with three selected players.

In total, 18 players ply their trade in the PSL, with three in Belgium and two in England.

At 32, Reneilwe Letsholonyane is the oldest player in the squad, a full 14 years the senior of team-mate Rivaldo Coetzee.

Bafana's opening match in the tournament is against Algeria on Monday, January 19 (21:00 SA time), followed by the clash with Senegal on Friday, January 23 (21:00 SA time) with their last Group C match against Ghana on Tuesday, January 27 (20:00 SA time).
