Bartlett has faith in Bafana strikers

Cape Town - Former South Africa international Shaun Bartlett is confident that the strike combination of Bongani Ndulula and Tokelo Rantie will be a formidable force during the Africa Cup of Nations this year.

Ndulula and Rantie featured prominently for the national team during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign and both of them contributed significantly to its success.

Bartlett believes that the duo will continue to thrive during the assignment which lies ahead in Equatorial Guinea.

"If you ask me, I think they've been doing well, more especially in the qualifiers. They complement each other well and I don't see any reason why they can't lead our attack at the AFCON," Bartlett told Goal.com.

However, Bartlett does admit that the duo’s success will depend largely on the extent of the preparations during the build-up to the tournament, which will include an international friendly against Zambia on 4 January.

"It would be great to see them continue with their goalscoring into the tournament, but that will all depend on their consistency ahead of the tournament," said Bartlett.
