Bafana v Norway in Cape Town

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana will face another European opposition, ahead of the 2013 African Cup of Nations, as they host Norway on January 8, 2013, in Cape Town.

According to a Soccer-Laduma source close to SAFA, the international friendly will be played at the Cape Town Stadium and coach Gordon Igesund is happy with the fixture.

The source, who is a SAFA NEC member, told the Siya crew that the details of the game will be finalised and made official in the near future.

"Yes, the game is on and maybe it will be the last one before we engage in the AFCON. You know the last game this year is against Zambia in the Nelson Mandela Challenge in November, so we needed another game early next year and Norway is the opponent," explained the source.

South Africa will host the defending AFCON champions, Zambia, at Soccer City on November 14, for the Nelson Mandela Challenge.
