According to Soccer Laduma, South African Football Association Communications Manager, Dominic Chimhavi, has confirmed the opponents for the annual Nelson Mandela Challenge fixture.
The match, which is played in celebration of former state president Nelson Mandela, will take place at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.
“We have spoken to Federation of Ivorian Football (FIF) to release their best players for the occasion,” said Chimhavi.
“This match is played in the honour of a great statesman and global leader and I’m sure the players themselves would want to be part of such an illustrious fixture.”
Bafana Bafana and The Elephants last played one another in 2011 where they shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw in a Nelson Mandela Challenge trophy fixture.
A 2-1 victory over Norway, in 2009, was the last time South Africa has won the trophy.
Shakes Mashaba will hope to continue Bafana Bafana's strong current form when they take on Ivory Coast on Sunday, November 30. Kick-off is at 15:00.
